- We're teeing off early and scoring is locked
Short answer. The card is locked because your group's tee time is still more than 15 minutes away. Tap "We're going early" on the scorecard and your group can score immediately. Nothing else changes.
Why it happens
Ringer keeps the scorecard closed until 15 minutes before each group's tee time on the round date. That stops a stray tap from landing on the card while the crew is still in the parking lot. The scorecard says "Scoring opens 15 min before your 8:15 AM tee time." (with your own time) or simply "Scoring isn't open yet." On the Manage screen the Commissioner sees the badge "Scoring opens 7:45 AM" until the window opens, then "Scoring open", along with the note "Your round is ready. Score entry opens 15 minutes before tee time. You can still manage groups and player tees."
A round with no tee time is never locked.
What to do
- Open the scorecard for your group and tap "We're going early". The unlock is per group, so a group starting early does not open the card for groups still waiting.
- The same button works on the no-login scorekeeper link, so a guest scorekeeper can unlock the group without an account.
- If the tee time itself is wrong, the Commissioner can fix it: Round Hub → Manage → Groups & tee times → Edit › → Tee time. Changing a group's time re-numbers the groups first-out-first, so the earliest time becomes Group 1.
Good to know
- If the card says "Waiting for the host to start" rather than a scoring time, the round has not been started at all. That is a different gate: the Commissioner must tap Start round in the Round Hub first. See Before you start.
- Unlocking early does not move the tee time on the invite or in anyone's reminders. It only opens the card.
