Short answer. From the Round Hub, open Manage → Players to search your crew and past playing partners or add someone by hand. Players you add are in straight away and go into the first group. Swipe a row or use Remove to take someone off.

Steps

During creation

  1. On Who's playing?, tap "Add a player". Search by name, email or phone across Recent playing partners, Your crew and Ringer members. Multi-select and tap Add player or Add N players.
  2. For someone not on Ringer, tap Add guest: First name (required), Last name, and an optional Handicap index such as "12.4 or +2".
  3. Or tap "Import players" to read a photo, screenshot or pasted list (one Name — 7.8 per line, leading + for a plus handicap). Review the found players, edit or exclude any, and match them to Ringer accounts where offered. Up to 48 names per import.

After creation

  1. Round Hub → Manage → Players.
  2. Use "Search your crew and past players", or fill in the form: Name (required), Email, Mobile, Handicap index ("12.4 or +2.1"), GHIN.
  3. The player is added as in and placed in the active round's first group. If the round is already live, their handicap is frozen on the spot.

Edit a player

  • Rename from Manage → Players.
  • Set a handicap from the HCP chip on the roster row or in Manage → Players. Organizer-entered indexes are marked verified; RSVP self-reports show "· est." until you confirm them. Valid range is +10 to 54.
  • Mark a player WD / DQ / NS / DNF, toggle the buy-in Paid / $ Unpaid, or keep private organizer notes.

Remove a player

  • Round Hub roster: swipe a row left → Cancel (still invited) or Remove, then confirm.
  • Manage → Players → Remove. The prompt warns: "Remove [name]? They will be removed from the outing roster and its groups. This can affect team games and money calculations." Scores, group and team assignments go with them.

Who can do this

Organizers (Commissioner and co-organizers). The host cannot be removed. The host takes themselves off the roster with "I'm not playing — take me off" and returns with "Add me as a player".

Good to know

  • Duplicates are skipped: the same Ringer account or the same name (ignoring case) won't be added twice.
  • A linked Ringer player's stored index wins over anything you type.
  • Creation accepts up to 40 players at a time. Add more from Manage afterwards.

If it doesn't work

  • "Add up to 40 players at a time." Trim the roster for creation and add the rest later.
  • "Import up to 48 players at a time." Split the list into two imports.
  • "[name] is already in this round." Same name or same account. Check the roster.
  • "Enter a valid handicap index like +2 or 12 (or leave it blank)." Use a number between +10 and 54.
  • "Enter a valid email address." / "Enter a valid mobile number." / "Enter a valid GHIN number." Correct the field or leave it blank.
  • "You have scores recorded — clear them before sitting out." The host can't leave the roster with scores on the card.
  • "The host can't be removed from their own outing." Use "I'm not playing" instead.
  • "That saved player is no longer available. Search again or add them manually." The saved profile changed. Search again.
  • "Player search is unavailable. Your selections are saved." Search is down but your picks are kept. Tap Retry search.
