Short answer. Tap "Publish final results" on the round's Results once every gate below passes. Publishing freezes an official, numbered revision of the standings, the game payouts, and the settle-up. To change anything afterwards, reopen the round with a short reason and publish again; every prior revision and every recorded payment is kept.
Steps
- Open the round's Results. When the round is ready the header reads "Ready for your call".
- Choose the settlement mode and banker now if you want them; they freeze with the result.
- Tap "Publish final results". You will see "Results published." (or "Standings updated for N players." for a league Week).
How it works
The gates, in the order Ringer checks them
- League Week state. "A canceled Week cannot be finalized." · "Resume this suspended Week before finalizing." · "Resume this postponed Week before finalizing." · "Decide whether this shortened Week counts or is void before finalizing." · "This shortened Week is marked void and cannot be finalized as a result."
- Contests decided. "Award the remaining contest or select No winner in the Scoring Center before publishing." (or "Award the N remaining contests …"). While any contest is pending the button reads "Award contests to publish". Also: "Could not verify contest decisions. Refresh and try again."
- Readiness. "No players in the field to finalize." · Per-hole games (Pot, Stableford, Skins) need every hole: "N player(s) haven't finished — need all {holes} holes." · Match games need decided matches: "N match(es) is/are still on the course." · Net games need every index: "N player(s) has/have no handicap index — a net game can't settle without it." A missing index is never treated as scratch. Fallback: "This round isn't ready to finalize."
- Shadow Ball (short-team Team Stableford): "Team Stableford has no teams to finalize." · "{Team}'s Shadow Ball is not locked for all {n} holes yet." · "Round not found."
- 9-Point complete. "The 9-Point game is incomplete or its players need attention. Review the game players and scores before finalizing."
- Build. "Nothing to finalize on this round." · "The scoring engine could not freeze a trustworthy official scorecard. Resolve the round scores and handicaps, then publish again."
- Storage. "Contest awards changed. Review them in the Scoring Center before publishing again." · "Finalization returned an unexpected revision." · "Finalization revision storage isn't set up yet."
- Standings (leagues). "Round results were published, but season standings were not updated. {detail} The previous official standings remain intact."
What locks
- Scores close. Every score entry path refuses with "This round is closed. The commissioner can reopen it from the round hub to make changes."
- Games cannot be added: "This round is finalized. Reopen it before adding a game." Contest awards cannot be changed.
- The settlement mode and banker freeze: "The settlement plan is frozen with this result revision. Reopen the round and publish a correction to change it."
- Results flip from Provisional to Final and share links point at the exact revision. Money is read from the frozen result, never recomputed; paid marks and Venmo handles stay live on top of it.
Reopening for a correction
From the Round Hub, choose to reopen. You will be asked "Why are you reopening this round?" and must give a reason of 3 to 500 characters (too short: "Add a short reason for the correction."). Confirm "Reopen this finalized round?". Scoring reopens, published season standings stay visible until you republish, and the next publish becomes revision N+1. Every prior revision is kept and existing payments are never rewritten.
Who can do this
Only the Commissioner: "Only the commissioner can finalize." and "Only an organizer can reopen a round."
If it doesn't work
- "This round already has an open correction." The round is already reopened. Make the correction and publish again.
- "Outing not found." / "That round isn't on this outing." / "Couldn't verify this round's lifecycle state." Refresh and open the round from Rounds.
