Short answer. From the Round Hub, open the "•••" menu and choose Reopen round, then type why (3 to 500 characters). Scores unlock, the official result is withdrawn, and every earlier revision and payment stays on record. When you are done, close scoring and publish again as revision N+1.
Steps
- Open the outing's Round Hub.
- Tap "•••" and choose Reopen round.
- Answer the prompt "Why are you reopening this round? This note is kept with the correction history…" with a short reason. It needs between 3 and 500 characters.
- If the round was already published, the Round controls confirm "Reopen this finalized round?" with the note: "The current result will be withdrawn so you can correct the round. Your reason and every prior official revision stay preserved, and the next finalization becomes a new audited revision."
- Make the correction on the scorecard, in games, or in tees.
- Close scoring, then publish. Ringer asks "Publish corrected results? This replaces the current official snapshot with revision N+1…" and shows "Corrected results published".
How it works
- Reopening moves the round back to LIVE. The official pointer is withdrawn so nothing downstream reads a stale result while you work.
- Nothing is deleted. Each published revision is kept, and payments already marked are never rewritten. The reason, the prior official result and any settlement change are stored in the correction ledger.
- Published season standings stay visible during the correction and are recalculated when you republish.
- Share links created with
?s=stay pinned to the revision they were made for. Share a new one after republishing. - A round that was closed but never published reopens the same way, with the same reason prompt.
Other Round controls
The same sheet offers Clear scores only ("Keeps the game, teams, groups, tees, handicap settings, and money rules. Finalized rounds must be reopened first."), add, replace or remove a game, the Shadow Ball lock, and Delete round. Finalized rounds must be reopened before a game can be added: "This round is finalized. Reopen it before adding a game."
Who can do this
Only the Commissioner or a co-organizer. Players cannot reopen; ask your Commissioner.
If it doesn't work
- "Add a short reason for the correction." The reason is under 3 or over 500 characters.
- "Only an organizer can reopen a round." You are not a manager on this outing.
- "This round already has an open correction." The round is already reopened. Make your changes and publish to close the correction.
- "This round is finalized. Reopen it before adding a game." Reopen first, then edit the games.
- "This round is finalized. Reopen it before correcting a tee." / "This round is finalized. Reopen it before changing the holes." Same rule for tees and hole count.
