Short answer. When you publish groups, each player gets an email titled "Your scoring link — {name}" with a personal browser link to their group's card. The Scorecard Center prints paper cards on Letter landscape, two per sheet, each with a QR code to the group's scoring link.
How it works
Scoring links
- One personal link per player, sent by email after publication. The email says "Your round is ready."
- Each delivery has a status: pending, missing (no email on file), sent, or failed. "Sent" means the email provider accepted the message. Ringer never sends the same link twice.
- After publishing, a warning tells you what needs attention: "Round published. {missing} players need an email address; {failed} scoring links could not be sent." or "Round published, but scoring links could not be sent. Open Participant scoring links to retry delivery."
- Open the Participant scoring links panel on the week to retry or resend. Add missing emails on the roster first.
Printable scorecards
- Open Club → your league → Manage → Scorecard Center to set the look, then the week's Scoring Center → Print.
- Cards print on US Letter, landscape, two per sheet, for 9 or 18 holes, up to six players per group.
- Each card carries a QR code that opens the group's scoring link, plus stroke dots showing where handicap strokes fall.
- If the field changed since groups were published, the print page says "Republish before printing". Republish groups, then print.
Scorecard Center settings. Three colors, entered as six-digit hex values: navy #102F49, gold #D9A83F and tournament blue #24618F by default. Two toggles, the QR code and the stroke dots, both on by default.
Who can do this
Commissioner or co-commissioner for links and printing. Scorecard Center settings need league scoring rights; anyone else sees "Only a commissioner can change Scorecard Center settings."
Good to know
- Links go out by email only. Players without an email show as missing; fix the roster and resend.
- Groups can hold up to eight players for digital scoring, but paper cards stop at six. Split larger groups if you print.
If it doesn't work
- "Publish the current groups before sharing scoring links." Links exist only for published groups.
- "The groups changed. Refresh to use their latest scoring links." Old links were replaced.
- "Scoring links are temporarily unavailable. Please retry."
- "Printable cards require 9 or 18 holes." Set the week's holes.
- "Printable cards support up to six players per group." Split the group.
- "A scorecard name contains characters this PDF font cannot print. Please contact support." A player's name uses characters the card font lacks.
- "Use six-digit hex colors such as #102F49." / "Scorecard settings were not valid." / "Scorecard display options were not valid." Check the settings form.
- "Scorecard settings could not be saved. Please try again." Temporary; retry.
