Short answer. There is one path, Create → Play golf, and Ringer shapes the round around who you add. Just you means a solo round. Two to four players means one group. More than four means multiple groups, each with its own tee time.
How it works
| Roster | What Ringer sets up |
|---|---|
| Only you | A solo round. The footer reads "Just you — Ringer will set this up as a solo round." |
| 2 to 4 players | One group, one tee time, one scorekeeper |
| 5 or more | Groups of up to four, tee times spaced 10 minutes apart |
Solo
With only you on the roster, Ringer shows a "Which stats to track" screen. Score is always on; Putts, Fairways, GIR, Sand saves and Penalties are on by default and you can tap to trim them. Tap Begin solo round or Just score. If the tee time is now, the round goes live immediately, your handicap is frozen and you land on the scorecard.
One group
Add a few players and Ringer makes a single group at your opening time. For one group, Ringer picks the scorekeeper for you: the host if playing, otherwise the first player.
Multiple tee times
Add five or more and Ringer builds balanced groups in roster order, starting every 10 minutes from your opening time. You can move players between groups with the grip icon and change any group's time. Each group needs its own scorekeeper before the round starts. See Groups and tee times.
Good to know
- Don't know the tee time? Tick "I don't know the tee time yet" on the When screen and set it later.
- Logging a round you already played? Choose Add a past round from Create, or pick a past date. Ringer creates a solo round and opens the scorecard with the photo picker ready.
If it doesn't work
- "Sixes requires exactly four different golfers." Sixes only works with a four-player roster on an 18-hole course.
- "Match players must be in the same tee group. Change the players or edit Groups & tees." Head-to-head games need both sides in one group. Move them together or pick different players.
