- Getting started
- I played as a guest and then signed up. Where are my rounds?
Short answer. They are waiting for you, as long as the account uses the same email or mobile number your host invited you with. Ringer matches guest spots to accounts by verified email or phone, never by name, and attaches them the moment you sign in.
How it works
Every time you sign in, and every time the Today screen loads, Ringer looks for roster spots that have no account attached and whose mobile number or email matches yours. Any it finds are moved onto your account, and your guest scores, handicap and GHIN number come with them. Your display name carries over too, unless you already set one.
Claiming a spot this way also counts as an invitation, so it opens the door if Ringer is invite-only at the time.
Steps
If your rounds are missing, the mismatch is almost always the contact detail.
- Ask your host which email or mobile number they used for you on the roster.
- If it was a mobile number, sign out, open the sign-in screen, tap Have an invite? Continue with phone, and sign in with that number. You will see "You're in!" with "Your spot's saved." or "N spots saved.", then Enter Ringer.
- If it was an email, sign in with an account that uses that email. If you signed up with a different address, the simplest fix is to ask your host to add the email on your account to the roster instead.
- Open Today or Rounds. The rounds should be there.
Good to know
- A phone number only counts once it is verified, which happens when you sign in with a texted code. A phone number typed into an RSVP form is enough for the host's roster, but it will not link to an account until that number signs in.
- Rounds where the host typed your name and nothing else cannot be matched. Ask the host to add your email or mobile number to your spot.
- Guest RSVPs made while signed in are tied to your account straight away, so there is nothing to claim.
If it doesn't work
- "Couldn't attach your spots — please try again." The link-up hit a momentary error. Pull to refresh on Today, or sign out and back in.
- "Not signed in." Your session ended before the spots could attach. Sign in again.
- "We found conflicting player records. Ask your league commissioner to reconcile them, then try again. Your registration is unchanged." More than one player record shares your email or phone, usually from a league import. Your Commissioner can merge them.
- "Couldn't connect your player profile. Please try again. Your registration is unchanged." A momentary error while linking your profile. Try again in a moment.
- Still missing after all that? Email support@ringer.golf with the game name, your host's name, and the email or number you used.
