- The clubhouse board is stuck in fullscreen
Short answer. The Big Screen has one full-screen control, the ⛶ button in the header, and it toggles both ways: tap it once to fill the screen, tap it again to come back. Tapping anywhere else on the board pauses and resumes the slides, which is easy to mistake for a stuck screen. The board is a web page, so the browser's usual way out of full screen (Esc on a keyboard) also works.
Why it happens
The Big Screen is built to run untouched on a TV or a cart, so every tap has a job:
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| ⛶ button (top right) | Enter or leave full screen |
| Tap the board | Pause or resume the rotation ("Paused" / "Live") |
| Swipe left or right | Previous or next slide |
| Arrow keys | Previous or next slide |
| Space | Pause or resume |
Slides rotate every 9 seconds and the scores refresh every 30 seconds. A paused board still refreshes; it just stops flipping.
What to do
- Look for ⛶ in the header next to the clock. Tap it. On a TV browser you may need to move the pointer to the top of the screen first.
- If the header is hidden, press Esc on a keyboard, or use the browser's own exit gesture. Ringer does not block it.
- If the board says "Paused", tap the board once to resume. That is not full screen; it is the rotation.
- To leave the board entirely, close the tab or use the browser's back button. There is no Done button on the Big Screen. The Commissioner reopens it any time from Manage → "Big Screen ↗" ("Full-screen live scoreboard for a TV or the cart — no login needed.").
- If the page shows a 404, the link is missing its key. The Big Screen needs the outing's invite link key on the address; copy it fresh from Manage rather than typing the address.
Good to know
- The Big Screen shows only slides with data: Team, Gross, Net, Skins ("N pending"), Stableford, Birdies and Money. Before the first score it reads "The board is set — Scores drop here as they land."
- For a phone or tablet at the turn, the ordinary board link (Round Hub → Share) is easier than the kiosk, and it has tabs instead of rotating slides.
